End of November

Hi all!  Can you believe it?  Thanksgiving is 2 days gone, there's a dusting of snow on the ground, and Christmas music is being played over the airwaves.  With the holiday shopping season off to a start, new things are afoot in the digi-scrapping world too!

November is Down Syndrome Awareness Month, and at the request of a Creative Team member, Ohana Designs has released this kit called Endurance:

I thought the colors worked well for this photo of my cousins that I came across recently:

With the closing of ScrapMatters, Val of geniaBeana Scraps is starting a guest spot at One Story Down.  She created Thankful Heart a while ago but it was never placed in her SM store.  Now, you can find it HERE at OSD:

I thought the soft colors and sweet elements were perfect for this photo:

Moving on in to the season, here is a lovely holiday kit from Etc by Danyale called Christmas Memories:

I recently borrowed an old photo album from my sister-in-law, and thought this vintage kit was perfect for this vintage photo:

Last but certainly not least is this fun collab by Wishing Well Creations and Stolen Moments Designs called Woodsy Winterland:

Back I went to that old photo album for this layout:

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and come back and see me soon!

Digital Scrapbooking Day is Here!

Hi all!  Well, it's DSD, and as promised, I've got a few goodies to show you.

Laura of Wishing Well Creations has created an enormous collection called 25 Days:

http://pixelsandcompany.com/shop/25-Days-Full-Collection.html

It's geared towards scrappers who do December Daily or Project Life pages, but it works for those of who don't do those projects as well!  I used it to scrap this layout about last year's Christmas Day:

GeniaBeana Scraps also has a new release, a Grab Bag valued at $19 available only this weekend for $5!  It's called Oh Shoot:

Here's a closer look at the main kit:

With the theme of the grab bag being photography, I decided to scrap some photos of my grandkitty:

I hope you are enjoying yourself this fun Saturday, and I hope you come back and see me soon!

Fabulous Fall

Hi all!  Remember last post when I told you about all the autumn and Halloween kits that were out?  Well, I'm here today to show you some more goodies I had the honor to play with.

It's Grab-a-Byte time at Scrapbook Bytes, and this time, Michelle of Ohana Designs outdid herself with a full dozen packs that are available for $1 each until October 20th:

I grabbed a handful of papers and elements and did this page for a template challenge at SBB:

Kimeric Kreations has a lovely Halloween collection called Oiche Shamhna (Gaelic for All Hallow's Eve):

I once again found out that the kit was versatile and classy enough for a wedding layout:

You can grab the collection HERE, and never fear, if you don't need the whole thing, each portion is available individually!

Also for Halloween is the annual collab between geniaBeana Scraps and Cluster Queen Creations, a spooky number called What's Your Poison:

I defintely stayed on-theme with this one, scrapping an old Halloween photo:

For a change of pace, take a look at this bright, fun collab from Wishing Well Creations and Scotty Girl Design called Where We Live:

I stayed with the homey theme of the kit and scrapped about my daughter's move into an apartment:

I hope you get a chance to grab up some of these goodies.  Have a good week, and come back to see me soon!

Sizzlin' Sunday!

Hi all!  How was everyone's week?  I am so glad Sunday is here!  Work has been crazy busy lately and we were gone all day yesterday for a family reunion, so I am ready for some R & R!  But guess what?!  I still found time to scrap, lol!  Here's what I did when I should have been cleaning my kitchen:

I worked with a simply stunning new kit from geniaBeana Scraps called Something Wonderful:

I browsed through my Mom's photo albums and found this perfect photo to scrap:

Wishing Well Creations is enjoying a guest spot at ScrapMatters this month, and one of her releases there is this collaboration with Etc by Danyale called Carefree Spirit:

The kit also comes bundled with an add-on alpha and journal card pack for a cost-saving package that is also on sale through tonight!  You can check out the bundle HERE at ScrapMatters and HERE at The Digichick.  The gorgeous flowers and slightly vintage-y elements and papers sent me back to my Mom's albums yet once again where I found these adorable photos to scrap:

Alright, that's it for today!  ScrapMatters is having their annual Queen of Scrap competition, where a requirement is to scrap 25 layouts during the month of August.  I'm off to a very slow start, but I hope to pick up steam, so come back and see me soon!

It's a New Month!

Hi all!  Happy August!  How is the month treating you so far?  Aside from spending more time at work than I'd like, mine is good so far.  A new month, of course, means new goodies to show you, so grab a refreshing beverage and see what I've got for you today:

First up is Spice of Life, the August Digichicks Around the World collab by The Digichick Design Team:

I used the kit and a template from the collection to make this layout for a challenge at The Digichick:

As usual, you can get free add-ons to the collection!  Go to the Digichick shop HERE and the Digichick Facebook page HERE to scoop them up!

Next is this lovely, serene kit from Ohana Designs called Just Breathe:

If you check out the link you'll see that you can purchase a bundle that includes some masks and metal decorations, and you can pick up a free coordinating alpha by checking out the Alphabet Soup challenge in the forum!  The papers in this kit had the strongest attraction for me, so I did this layout showing one of them off:

I also worked with some other goodies just for the fun of it, participating in some challenges at ScrapMatters and Scrapbook Bytes.  Here is a layout I did quite a while ago for a template challenge, using Honey Bee Mini Kit by geniaBeana Scraps:

...and here is a layout I made more recently for a color challenge.  The kit is Balance by Seatrout Scraps:

Okay, that does it for today!  Enjoy your week, and come back and see me soon!

It's Friday!

Hi all!  I hope everyone has had a good week.  Mine has been busy, but of course, I have carved out some scrapping time!  See what's new:

geniaBeana Scraps has this fun summery kit called Summer Love:

I used it for this fun LO:

I also finished my Photo-a-Day pages for June, using these cool templates from Cornelia Designs that really capture the look of a matte plastic pocket page:

My Scrapbook Art didn't post any Photo-a-Day prompts for July, so I won't have any July pages.  I'm not sure if this is a temporary hiatus, or if the project has been discontinued.  I'm going to hunt around for another project just to be on the safe side so I can start again next month.

Have a good weekend, and come back and see me soon!

Hot Enough For Ya?

Seriously!  We are in Day 4 of a heat advisory here, and I know a lot of the rest of the country is in the same boat (or oven, as it were).  Hi all!  What better way to stay in the AC than by wanting to get caught up on some scrapping?!  Grab a cool drink, and see how I have been staying cool:

Stellajane Designs released this paper-based kit last week, called Floral Notes Vol.1.  Can you guess why I just HAD to grab it?

I borrowed a template from G'Day, the July collab from The Digichick, and here is what I made:

Cornelia Designs continues to knock the ball out of the park with her templates.  Take a look at Sail Away:

Again, I knew just which photos I wanted to scrap, using Wishing Well Creations' kit Down By the Bay:

It's been a while since I've grabbed any of Kimeric Kreations' goodies, but take a look at her latest collection, called Creative Soul:

I was fascinated with the word art and stamp portions of the collection, and happily played around until this layout was the result:

Moving on to some lovelies from geniaBeana Scraps, here is a new template set called Sketchy v.8:

Grab a template, choose some yummy papers and elements from this collab called Be Soft:

...and see what can happen:

Finally, here's another layout I did for a scraplift challenge at Scrapbook Bytes, using Ohana Designs' kit Life Story and her Wooden Frame Bundle:

Well, that's it for today!  Stay cool, and come back to see me soon!

New this week!

Hi all! Did everyone have a good Independence Day holiday?  I hope so!  Summer fun.  That's what I thought of when I saw this newest kit from geniaBeana Scraps called Little Fish:

The colors were perfect for this swimmy photo I've been wanting to scrap for a long time:

Ohana Designs also has some new releases this week.  Here is a lovely, elegant kit called Life Story:

Since Ohana Designs is the Featured Designer July 1-15 at Scrapbook Bytes, her entire store is 20% off HERE and you can get Life Story FREE with any $10 purchase in her store!  I combined the kit with some Painted Wooden Frames that are also new this week:

...and this heritage layout is the result:

That's it for today! Here's hoping summer is treating you well!  Come back and see me soon!
