12 Days of December 2024 is Here at Oscraps!

Hi everyone! Today is the last day of November, Thanksgiving is past, and just like that we are headed into the month of December with all that entails. Of course, at Oscraps that means the annual 12 Days of December event is here once again!

What that means is that you could win any number of Daily Challenge/Games coupons or one of the fabulous GRAND PRIZE PACKAGES!

And, of course, there will be free DAILY DOWNLOADS of our brand new and gorgeous digital scrapbook mega collaboration Jingle & Mingle:

Here's a couple of pages I've done so far with the collab. The first is fairly simple, as it was made for the Pre-Party Avatar challenge that's already going on:

Since it's still November, this next layout was a last-minute post in the November Border Only challenge at Oscraps:

While I've got your attention, I should mention that Oscraps is also currently running its Black Friday-Cyber Monday sale HERE! You may want to check it out before Monday night and hop on over to the forum for the 12 Days of December event. You just might see Yours Truly hosting an event, so check it out, and make sure you come back and see me soon!

June Challenging

Hi everyone! Oscraps' 18th Birthday celebration has ended, but you can still take part in the birthday challenges until the end of the month and earn chances at prizes! In addition to hosting my own Template Challenge, I took part in some of the other festivities! The Day 1 Challenge of the 18th Birthday event is a scraplift challenge, asking participants to scraplift a layout from the gallery of Vicki Stegall, founder and owner of Oscraps! I chose to lift this layout by Su_Sanne:

Here's my take on it:

I used Sweetness Page Kit by Mixed Media by Erin, also at Oscraps!

A regular monthly challenge at Oscraps is Lynn Grieveson's Color Play challenge, and this month the product to use is Pocket Full of Pebbles Digital Scrapbooking Collection, a collab between Lynn and Rachel Jefferies:

I love the colors of this collection and embraced the beachy themes for this layout:

Another regular challenge this month is the Page Sketch challenge. We are given this page sketch to follow:

Here's my take on it:

I used  Butterflies Collection Mini by After Midnight Designs-isn't it pretty?

We're all caught up for now! I've been scrapping more than usual lately because of our hot hot hot weather outside - the humidity just saps my energy for anything physical. We'll see how the coming week goes as we get a break from the severe weather warnings. Next weekend is Color Play at Oscraps, so I'll be back for that if nothing else! Make sure you come back and see me soon!

Free Birthday Template Challenge at Oscraps!

Hi everyone! The 18th birthday party is in full swing at Oscraps, and I'm back today to personally invite you to participate in the challenge I'm hosting today, a Template Challenge:

Your challenge is to grab the FREE template and decorate the cake in any manner that you wish! In addition to earning a spot in the Grand Prize drawing (as long as you complete all the other required events), you can earn a chance at gift certificates to MagicalReality Designs, CRK Designs, or Lorie Davison!

Here's a closer look at my layout, using Desert Rose, an Oscraps Designer Collab from 2016:

I hope to see you at Oscraps this weekend! Make sure you also come back and see me here soon!

FWP May 5 - May 11!

Hi everyone! I don't usually post with just one page to show you, but since this is time sensitive, I thought I'd bring your attention to this sweet kit from Kitty Designs called Homey Heart:

It's FREE with any $10 Purchase in the Oscraps shop from now through May 11th! Here's a layout I did with it for the Creative Photo Treatment challenge at Oscraps:

There's a new free product every week at Oscraps! I don't always take the time to grab them, but if I do I'll put a quick post here. Check out the shop HERE, and make sure you come back and see me soon!

Oscraps 12 Days of December Event Starts December 1st! Games, Challenges, and a FREE Mega Collab!

And just like that, we've come to the end of November! Life has continued to be busy for me; let me show you the layouts I got done this month and then I'll share the details of the Oscraps event at the end of this post!

As usual, participating in challenges inspires a lot of my scrapbooking. I made use of Lynn Grieveson's Oscraps October Color Play contribution, Haven, for a couple of pages. Here's a look at the collection:

I used it for the November Color Palette Challenge at Oscraps:

I'm tickled to report that the layout above got a mention on the Gallery Standouts blog!  I also used Haven for Lynn's monthly Color Play challenge:

Another challenge I participated in was the first Anna Color Challenge of November. Here's the palette we were given:

My take:

I used Anna's ArtPlay Palette Autumn Rust:

Now, here's the scoop on Oscraps' annual 12 Days of December event!

While the event officially starts tomorrow, we've started the fun early with an Avatar Challenge, and Buddy the O' Elf has already been sprinkling holiday cheer in the form of gift certificates!

You can find out how to qualify for an entry into the Grand Prize drawing, with the top prize being valued at $120! You can also find out where to stop in every day to download your portion of the FREE 2023 Mega Collab, Cozy Christmas:

Here's a layout I made with the collab; I'm sure you'll be seeing plenty more as the event goes on!

That's it for today! I'm looking forward to seeing you at Oscraps, and make sure you come back and see me here soon!

Color Play and More!

Hi everyone! I have been so busy! My digital scrapbooking has been a feast or famine affair, so after not posting anything for a while, I have a bunch of layouts from July I want to show you.

First I should note that it was Color Play time at Oscraps, and while the 50% off sale has ended, there is still a lot of goodness to check out. Here's a couple of layouts I made! I first worked with the awesome Kindness Confetti Bundle by Connection Keeping:

I used the bright, happy colors to scrap this layout for a scraplift challenge at Just Art Scrapbooking:

Next, I took some more elements from the bundle and added them to a paper by Maya de Groot, from her Ocean Artsy Papers and Overlays:

...and I created this layout for the Border Challenge at Oscraps:

In other news, I participated in a few challenges during the month of July. I grabbed this lovely Artistic Impressions 1 by MagicalReality Designs :

I used it for the Big Photo challenge at Oscraps:

I'm honored to say that this layout got a shoutout on the Gallery Standouts blog!

Karen Schulz Designs hosts a Use It All challenge every month at Oscraps, and I decided to jump in. Here is a peek at the free mini she offered up:

I submitted this layout, which served double duty as participation in the Sketch challenge at Just Art:

All the extra goodies in my page came from Karen's coordinating Nature Hike II Collection:

I love the collection so much I used it for another challenge layout, Artist Inspiration at Oscraps:

I'm happy to say that gets us all caught up! Here's looking to August! Make sure you come back and see me soon!

Spring Sale This Week at Oscraps and a Mega-collab FREE with Purchase!

Hi everyone! Welcome to the month of March! Here in Michigan we are just coming off of our second winter storm in the span of 10 days, and if you're like me, we are SO ready for spring! Never fear, the design team at Oscraps has got us covered! From March 5-11, 2023, the shop is having their annual Spring Sale, where just about everything is 40% off!

In addition, the design team has come together to create this fabulous collab kit that is yours free with any $10 purchase!  Just place your purchases into your shopping cart, and the collab will be added automatically! Take a look at Simply Spring:

Here's a layout I made for the March Copycat challenge at Oscraps:

I made another layout for the March Word Art challenge using the collab:

While you're here, let me show you a couple of layouts I've done since my last post. February featured a challenge at Oscraps that gave you several quotes to choose from; your task was to create a form of Word Art from that quote and build a layout around it. Here is my take on the challenge:

I used a collection I showed you before, Rhythms of Nature by Sarapullka Scraps:

Another challenge that is still active at Oscraps is the current Anna Color Challenge:

I used one of the suggested products, ArtPlay Palette Plage:

...and here is my resulting layout! I love to commemorate days that celebrate flora and fauna, and luckily our local zoo gives me plenty of photo opportunities. This layout was given a Page of The Day honor at Just Art Scrapbooking:

That's it for today! I really wanted to make sure you had the opportunity to check out the fabulous sale over at Oscraps, so head on over there, and make sure you come back and see me soon!

Here's one layout I made so far with the collab, just playing around with a photo I took a couple of years ago of some ornaments:

And, it just might be possible that yours truly will be hosting a game in the forum sometime during the event! I hope to see you there; otherwise, I know I'll be playing with the collab some more, so make sure you come back and see me soon!

November

Hi everyone! Yes, I know this post is titled November, and I'm posting it on December 4th, but can someone tell me where last month went to so quickly? We are racing towards the end of the year, and I'm not sure I'm going to keep up, but I'm going to try! As usual, I'm here to bring you up to date on my recent layouts.  November's Featured Product category in the shop at Oscraps was focused on products that would help us tell our family stories, and I worked with a couple of goodies.

First up is this layout for a White Space challenge at Oscraps:

I used Sister Mathilda by Jopke Designs:

This next layout did double duty as a participation in Vicki Robinson's November designer challenge at Oscraps, and a challenge at Just Art Scrapbooking that asked you to make use of arrows on your page:

The title was a November Word Art Challenge freebie at Oscraps, and the kit I used is Family Stories by Vicki Robinson:

I also participated in another favorite challenge at Oscraps, this month's Anna Lift Challenge:

Everything I used in the layout is by Anna Aspnes: ArtPlay Palette Prismatic (pictured below), FotoBlendz Overlays No. 11, and a Fall WordART Overlay Freebie:

Just to finish off the month, I was excited to be able to start scrapping some photos from a recent family wedding:

I used a bundle called Today by et designs:

Alright, on to December events! There's an important post coming right after this one, so make sure you come back and see again right away!
