Year's End

Hi all! It's just about the end of 2016, and as such, this will be my last post of the year!  I have two new goodies I'd like to show you, both with a nod towards the upcoming New Year's holiday.

New This Week

Hi all! December is moving along,as evidenced by the winter storm warning we have in effect for tomorrow---anywhere from 3-9 inches of snow expected! Yikes! It's a good thing I've got my scrapping to keep me warm and cozy indoors!  Here's what I've been up to this week!

Digital Scrapbook Ingredients has a sweet holiday kit own, inspired by her own little boy's first Christmas, called My First Christmas:

I was inspired to scrap this cute photo of my little niece:

Over at The Digichick, I just had to grab this new release from Created by Jill called Without You:

This bundle hit home to me, as we just lost our 18-year-old kitty to cancer the day I saw this kit, so I used it to scrap a memorial page about my Stinky Boo Boo Kitty:

Black Friday Bonanza!

Hi all! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday, and are well-rested today! Black Friday events are everywhere in the retail world, and that includes the digital scrapbooking world as well.  To that end, I have three new releases that I want to show you, all on sale through the weekend!

I was drawn to the more neutral tones in the kit and scrapped this photo from the same event last December:

Hi all!  What a week! I was wearing shorts on Tuesday while cleaning up in my garden and shivering in a hoodie today at the apple orchard. Gotta love the weather in Michigan! Autumn Scrapping

Hi all!  It's been a couple of weeks since I have posted; real life and a lack of mojo kept me away from my laptop, but I'm making it up with two new releases to show you this week! Happy Digital Scrapbooking Day!

Hi all! Time

Hi all! There were so many goodies coming down the pike this week that I wished I had more time for scrapping.  Here's what I managed to work with!

Over at The Digichick, JoeCee Designs has released a fun set of templates called Time:

I decided to go with "Yesterday" and scrapped this photo of my oldest daughter when she was just a toddler:

The kit I used is a FREE mini provided by SAS Designs for the Featured Designer Challenge at The Digichick this month...it's amazing and you might want to check it out HERE.

Digital Scrapbook Ingredients also has a kit out this week, a truly amazing collab with Captivated Visions called You Are:

As soon as I saw it, I knew just which photos I wanted to scrap!  Here is a series of photos of my little nephew who just turned 6 months old:

Artistic

Hi all! Like many other people I know, I like to express myself artistically.  My Mom was an excellent seamstress and all-around crafty person, a couple of my family members are talented quilters, and there are some photographers lurking about as well.  My artistic endeavor for the last few years has been scrapbooking, especially in a digital format.  One thing I also have in common with other Moms is saving every last scrap of art our kids made through their school years, but at some point, the collection can become overwhelming.  I saw a tip a few years back that said to take photos or scans of those projects so you don't have to keep bulky items cluttering up closet space for decades.

Imagine my delight, then, when Meagan's Creations offered up this bundle collection called, simply, Artistic:

I used the main kit and the handy pre-made clusters to scrap these images of some early elementary artwork that my oldest daughter created:

Obviously, scrapbooking also helps us preserve memories, and I love to do heritage pages.  I was thrilled to grab this new release from Digital Scrapbook Ingredients called Second Hand:

Seas The Day!

Hi all!  Happy Fourth of July weekend!  A lot of folks are enjoying a long weekend, as am I!  I've been spending a lot of time outdoors in the lovely weather, but I'm still making some time for scrapping!  Willeminje of Digital Scrapbook Ingredients has a lovely new kit out called Seas The Day:

I've slowly been scanning in and scrapping photos from our 2003 family trip to Hawaii, and I thought this kit was perfect for these photos:
