A Love Affair With Sunflowers

Hi everyone! We have officially left summer behind and are into autumn. One of the highlights of the season is the presence of sunflowers, and since I was lucky enough to go to a Sunflower Festival on a gorgeous sunny day a few weeks ago, I've had sunflowers dominating my scrapbooking headspace. Take a look at what I mean, starting with this layout featuring a selfie I took at the festival:

I used the Warm Sunlight Elements, Papers, and Overlays  by Palvinka Designs that I just showed you in my last post, and while I don't often use templates, this time I grabbed Scrap Now Templates Set 05 by Vicki Robinson:

Because of the sunflowers, I can't get enough of the Warm Sunlight collection...I used a different paper from the set for another challenge layout, where we had to recreate the look of a notebook page:

I also used Beach Therapy by et designs for the paint brushes and Notebook No. 2 Brush Set by Anna Aspnes for the notebook background.

Here's another challenge layout, this one for September's Anna Lift Challenge. The main inspiration was to create a sort of still life layout. Here's my take on it:

I used a watercolor action from Adobe to modify my photo; everything else was by Anna Aspnes: ArtPlay MiniPalette Breeze provided most of the embellishments, the paper came from ArtPlay Palette Beach, and the flower stamps are from 52 Inspirations 2020 No 31

I didn't want to end this post without reminding you that this weekend is the monthly Fab Friday Color Play event  at Oscraps, where the coordinating products are on sale for 50% off through Monday evening. Although not featuring sunflowers, I did enjoy creating a layout using Palvinka Designs' contribution, Hello Fall:

Here's my layout...

...and HERE'S the link to the Fab Friday section of the shop at Oscraps so that you can grab the goodies while they're on sale!

Next weekend brings us not only October, but Digital Scrapbooking Day, one of the biggest sale events of the year! I'm sure I'll have lots to show you then, so make sure you come back and see me soon!
