October Musings

Hello all! Well, I didn't make it back here as soon as I had hoped. I had a lot of things going on in my real life, so Digital Scrapbooking Day had to happen without me, lol. But, I'm here now to show you some recent scrapping I've done.

First up is a challenge layout I did for Vicki Robinson Designs' October Challenge at Oscraps:

The challenge prompt was to consider the phrase that you see in the word strip attached to my photo above, and you got extra points for using Vicki's Autumn Breeze Bundle:

Oscraps and Just Art Scrapbooking are both hosting Big Photo challenges this month, so I made a layout that would do double duty! I took this photo a few weeks ago:

I used A Beautiful Mess by Taylor Made Designs, who offers products in a style I admire (I think one of the very first scrapbooking kits I bought was by her) but don't actually often scrap in:

I came across that kit in a new category of products at Oscraps --- the Featured Products section, which highlights various goodies available in the shop, according to a changing theme. October's theme is All About Me, and when I came across this older photo in my sister's photo album, I knew just which other kit from that category I wanted to use. Here is my layout:

Finally, the end of the month brings us to the Fab Friday collection in the shop at Oscraps; all coordinating products are on sale for 50% off through tomorrow. I fell in love with She's Got Grit by Vicki Stegall Designs:
