February So Far

Hi everyone!  I thought I'd pop in today and get caught up on the pages I've done so far this month.  I have not been feeling very creative AT ALL lately, but as usual, checking out and participating in challenges is a good way to spark some mojo, so that's what I've relied on so far.

At Oscraps, Vicki Robinson has resurrected a challenge she first offered up back in 2020. She calls it a word salad---download a folder of 85 different word strips, choose 10 of them without seeing what they say, and come up with a layout making use of those strips in whatever way speaks to you. Here's the page I came up with after eliminating 2 strips that I just couldn't make work:

The kit I used is Vicki's PS I Love You Collection, which is on sale this month:

Another really interesting challenge this month at Oscraps is the Artist Inspiration challenge. The host chooses an artist to be inspired by, and the challenge is to create a layout reflecting that inspiration. This month's artist is Ben Heine, and here is my take on the challenge:

I got my cute little forest fairies from this kit by Lynne Anzelc, Come Fly:

The last layout I have for you today is from the design duo of Jenn Yurko and Joyful Heart Designs, a really fun new kit called Love You To Death:

I was charmed by the irreverent take on love, and decided to apply that sense of fun to scrap this photo of two of my nieces being silly:

It's going into the gallery at Just Art Scrapbooking for their color challenge, with the featured color being purple.

That's it for today! I guess 3 layouts so far this month isn't too shabby, after all. I am planning on getting my creative butt in gear, so make sure you come back and see me soon!
