A Rather Belated Holiday Post

Hi everyone! My original plan was to publish this post at the end of 2022 as sort of a wrap up of the challenge layouts I made for the December challenges at Oscraps. Well, real life got in the way as it often does, and here I am well into the second week of 2023 and it just hit me that I never hit the button to send this post out into the world!  But late is better than never, right? So here goes!

The first three layouts here were done for the 12 Days of December event at Oscraps. Day 1's challenge was a Chain Scraplift Challenge. Each participant had to choose a layout from the gallery of the poster just above her in the challenge thread and scraplift it. I chose to lift this layout by scribler:

My layout:

The kit I used is It Is December by Natali Designs:

Another event challenge was the Same Photo Challenge. The hostess gave us an image to use, and all the participants had to use that same photo for their page, however they wanted to interpret it. The photo was a rustic winter scene; here's my take on it:

I used the Home For The Holidays collection by CRK Designs:

The final Days of December challenge I participated in was an Art Doll challenge. We had to choose a figure of some sort and dress her up, like when we played with paper dolls as children. I chose a silhouette of a dancer and decided to put her into a wintery scene:

The silhouette came from Unfinished Woman by Vicki Robinson, and the rest of the scene was created with Artful Memories - Winter, also by Vicki Robinson:

I used the same collection for Vicki's Get Creative Challenge for December. The task was to use selective coloring, where a photo was rendered in black and white except for a pop of color. Here's my page for that challenge:

And for my final layout of 2022, I used this charming Christmas kit that is new from Lilach Oren:

I used it to scrap a layout about some cherished Christmas decorations:

And with that, we are all caught up!  If you're still scrapping some of your holiday pages, check these kits out and see how they can enhance your photos.  Thank you for sticking with me, have a wonderful 2023, and make sure you come back and see me soon!
