Wrapping Up July

Hi all! While it's not quite the end of the month yet, this will likely be my last post for the month since I have a rather busy week coming up. So, let's get to it!

You know my main inspiration for scrapping these days is participating in challenges, and some of my favorites are the ones offered up by Anna Aspnes' creative team at Oscraps. Here is the inspiration for the color challenge that just ended:

Crazy colors, right? I was stumped for a hot second, and then I remembered some photos I took at a candy shop a couple of years ago, and this was the result:

Almost everything in the layout was by Anna: A Watercolor Template Album No.2, and Artplay Palette Posy:

I also used the Sizzle Collab by the Oscraps Design Team:

(I'm pleased to report that the layout was chosen for the Gallery Standouts Blog on July 20th!)

Here's another challenge layout from Oscraps; this time we had to use birds as the subject. Luckily, I had a whole set of photos that were perfect:

I found a lot of products in the shop that were up to the task;
Outdoorsy {the kit} and Quirky (paper nature) by Joyful Heart Designs:

The title came from 52 Inspirations 2020 - No 19 Wood Alphas by Vicki Stegall:

I also used bits from the Joy Collab by the Oscraps Design Team, Birds Of A Feather Set 2 by Idgie's Heartsong, and FotoBlendz Overlays No. 11 by Anna Aspnes, all of which I've shown you before.  Moving on, another Oscraps challenge this month was to use only products from the 52 Inspirations category at the shop:

If you purchase the subscription for the year, you get a new product every week! You can purchase the individual items separately if you'd like, but the subscription is the way to go. Getting the subscription mid-year does still get you everything that had been released up until that point, as well as what comes out the rest of the year. For my page I used 52 Inspirations 2020 No 17 Intime by reginafalango, 52 Inspirations 2019-no-39: Everyday, Ordinary by Vicki Stegall Designs, and

My final Oscraps challenge layout was a White Space challenge, with the twist being that you could only use 1 photo, 1 piece of word art; and your photo had to be in the shape of a triangle. I will admit that I pushed the rules a bit, but I did use a really neat set of triangular frames:

The framing came from Frame Renderings: Floating Frames 2 by ViVa Artistry :

One final layout to show you, this one for a Quote Challenge at Just Art Scrapbooking. The quote had to be one that referenced the season you were in, and the hostess offered up both summery quotes and wintery ones for our friends down under. Here is the page I came up with:

Once again, I used a variety of products; A Hint of Spring by Idgie's Heartsong...

...Hope (which I've shown you before), and Folklore Papers from Design by Tina:

And, that wraps things up on this Sunday evening! I hope you and yours are staying cool and staying safe, and make sure you come back and see me soon!
