Easter Egg Hunt at Oscraps!

Hi everyone! The Easter holiday this past Sunday was a unique one for sure, what with the mandated isolation due to the COVID-19 virus. Families couldn't get together, and attending church services is still not possible. Thank goodness for staying in touch via social media, and thank goodness also for being able to view Easter Day Mass online!

In order to spread a little cheer during this time that is so hard on everyone, the fantastic design team at Oscraps is holding an Easter Egg Hunt from now through April 21st. Start in the forum HERE, and search through the shop using the provided clues to grab 50 freebies for your Easter basket! In addition to the freebies, many designers are tucking little coupons into their shops for some extra added value! Here's one of the freebies I picked up in Anna Aspnes' shop:

I'm showing you this particular freebie because I used it for the layout I did for the current AnnaColor Challenge at Oscraps:

While we're here, let me catch you up on a couple of other layouts I recently completed. Many of this month's other challenges at Oscraps acknowledge the COVID-19 pandemic and how it affects us. The One Word Challenge this month asks participants to use the word HOPE in a layout. Here is my take on the challenge:

I used a fair number of products for this page: the Desert Rose Collab by the Oscraps Design Team,  Birds Of A Feather Set 2 Stamps by Idgie's Heartsong,  Full-On Shabby (bundle 2) Papers by Joyful Heart Designs, and  Stained Edge Overlays No.3 by Anna Aspnes.

Another challenge this month is sponsored by Vicki Robinson Designs on her blog. Her forte is art-journaling style products, and this month she challenged us to create a page that expresses how we are feeling in the midst of this pandemic. She offered a free alpha:

...and this time she also presented a video tutorial on different ways to handwrite on your page, but added some ideas on how to keep your journaling hidden if you so choose. Since I can't write clearly using my mouse or track pad, I was able to leave my journaling visible, yet known only to me:

This is the bundle that she has on sale for the duration of the challenge, called Art For The Soul:

I also have a couple of non-pandemic-related pages to show you; this first one was also done for an AnnaColor Challenge, but the palette was totally monochromatic. I took a remarkable photo from my daughter's trip to Iceland in 2017 and gave it just a few embellishments:

Finally, I have a layout I just did the other day, this time for a Mask Challenge at Just Art Scrapbooking. It's hard to tell from the image, but the mask has some outlines of birds in flight incorporated into it, so I decided to scrap a photo of a rather brazen seagull we encountered at the beach last summer:

I used the Beautiful Day Kit 1 by Natali Designs and PaperTextures No. 4 by Anna Aspnes. The mask itself is by Happy Scrap Arts.

Once again, we are all caught up. I hope to see you over at Oscraps for the Easter Egg Hunt; otherwise, stay safe, and make sure you come back and see me soon!
