Hi everyone! If you've been with me within the last year you may recall me talking about participating in Pickleberry Pop's first-ever Great Digi Scrap Off this past March. As it happened, I won that particular event, and enjoyed a 3-month-long guest spot on the PBP Creative team as my Grand Prize. The folks at PBP had such a good time with the event they decided to make it a bi-annual event; hence, I just finished GDSO 2.0, held during the entire month of September. I wasn't initially sure I was going to participate this time around since I had a lot of other things going on, but I CANNOT resist a good digiscrapping challenge event, and here we are. This post is to show you all the layouts I completed for the event!
The forum section that lists all the requirements for the different challenges is HERE. I didn't list the supply credits here since for the most part, they are all products I have used and shown you before. You can check out my gallery at Pickleberry Pop HERE, and clicking on the layouts there will give you all the info you need if you're interested in checking out the products I used!
Here are all my challenge layouts, listed in order by week; there were 3 per week for 5 weeks!
Mix Two Templates:
Something Old, Something New:
Use It All Mini:
Clean and Dirty:
Mystery Box:
Rule of Thirds:
Improving Color using White Balance:
Make Your Own Cluster:
Berry Big Deals Challenge:
Extraction Challenge:
Second Summer Collab Challenge:
and, last but not least, a Background and Photo Blending Challenge:
I really had a lot of fun doing this event again...the pace was not too demanding, and I really like working with the products that they have at Pickleberry Pop. I didn't win any special awards this time around, but all the qualifying participants received the Second Summer collab and a $10 gift certificate, so that's a nice reward! I just wish I had more time to spend there, but with my responsibilities at Oscraps and the fact that I'm going back to work next month, well, it's just another example of how your real life can interfere with your scrapping life! They are going to hold the event twice a year, so the next one will be in March...we'll see if I find myself involved in it next time around!
In the meantime, there will be layouts from Oscraps designers to show you, so make sure you come back and see me soon!
