Hi everyone! Halfway through September already, can you believe it? So much craziness in the world right now, and my job is STILL kicking my butt! However, today is the first day of a week-long staycation for me, and I'm looking forward to some relaxing and creative endeavors. First, though, I want to catch you up on what I've worked on so far this month:
Amber of Crafty Button Design, master of art journaling at Oscraps, has just released this amazing collection featuring themes of space exploration and self-discovery called Space Cadet:
While I still consider myself a novice at art journaling, I had some fun with this one:
Another opportunity to wade into the art journaling world was accomplished by taking part in the September Designer Challenge by Vicki Robinson, another AJ master. The theme for the challenge was inspired by the collection Age Is Just A Number:
So many pretty things in this collection, I wanted to use them all, but I restrained myself!
Speaking of using it all, that was the theme of one of the regular monthly challenges at Oscraps. Vicki Robinson generously provided a free minikit to participants and you were allowed to scrap whatever you wanted as long as you used everything in the kit:
Here is what I came up with:
The next two pages I want to show you were both done for Color Challenges at Oscraps hosted by the creative team of Anna Aspnes Designs. These challenges typically run for about 2 weeks instead of a month, which is why I have two to show you. I don't manage to participate in every one, but each of these just spoke to me and I was off and running. Here is the palette for the first challenge:

It was so tempting to do an autumn-themed page, but I am clinging to every last bit of summer that I can, so this is the direction I went in (Everything for this layout came from the Artplay Palette Tangier.):
The current color challenge, which ends in a few days, features this palette:
I was inspired not only by the colors but the actual image that the palette came from, and did this layout of some photos from a trip to the zoo earlier this year:

In contrast to the layout about that was done all with one product, I used a variety of goodies for this one: ArtPlay Palette Heath, Artsy Layered Template No. 264, UrbanStitchez No. 9, and ArtsyKardz Moira MultiPack, all by Anna Aspnes. The delicate flowers are from Garden Brushes 03 by Karen Schulz Designs (formerly Snickerdoodle Designs).
Okay! That wraps it up for today! I'm off to start making the most of my time off, but I'll be busy scrapping, so make sure you come back and see me soon!
