Countdown To Christmas

Four days until Christmas!  Squeeee!  Hi all!  What a great weekend!  We celebrated Christmas with my extended family yesterday and it was so. much. fun.  While not everyone could make it, some loved ones who often can't make family get-togethers were there and a good time was had by all.  Today I indulged in the holiday feel by scrapping a page with the latest release from Laura of Wishing Well Creations, a little retro number called Countdown To Christmas:

You can't get much more retro than my first Christmas, so that's what I scrapped:

If you see this post in time you can grab the kit on sale HERE through tonight, then it goes back to regular price, so grab it (and the coordinating journal cards and printables!) on sale if you can, then come back and see me soon!

Scrapping Fun!

Hi all!  The countdown to Christmas is moving along, isn't it?  Even though it's a busy time of year for many, I had some good down time that I filled with scrapping, of course!  Let's check out this week's new releases, shall we?

Little Bit Shoppe has released a really cool set of templates called Focus:

I don't usually go with starburst papers when I scrap but these templates give you the opportunity to mix and match a couple of different papers for your own custom effect:

I also worked with a really gorgeous seasonal kit from Paper Garden Projects

I thought the kit worked well with these old wintertime photos:

Over at The Digital Press, Digital Scrapbook Ingredients actually has two new releases this week, but I've only worked with one of them so far.  Check out this collab with Amanda Yi called Time For A Change:

While it's a themed kit, perhaps appropriate for New Year's with its resolutions, I found it versatile enough to scrap some summer photos:

All these new releases are on sale throughout the weekend, so make sure you grab them soon, and then come back and see me soon!

Christmas Cutie!

Hi all!  Boy, you sure can tell it's the holiday season, can't you?  So many fun seasonal kits are coming out in digiscrap land!  I played with two (actually, three) new releases this week, and it just so happens that the layouts I made feature photos of the littlest member of my extended family!  Take a look!

First up is this lovely kit from Kimeric Kreations called The Night Before:

Here is the page I made, done for a scraplift challenge over at The Digichick:

I used just the stand-alone kit, but The Night Before also comes as part of a huge collection for added value.  You can check out the collection HERE.

Digital Scrapbook Ingredients has two releases this week:  the latest kit in her yearly collection, All Year Round-December, and a fun template pack called Be Merry:

I combined the two to create this pink confection of a layout:

These new releases are on sale through the weekend at their respective shops, so check them out, and then come back and see me soon!

New Things for December!

Hi all!  Today is December 1st, and as always with a new month, I have a new challenge to share with you!  This month, I am hosting the Very Varied Challenge over at The Digichick, and I chose to focus on using photos blended into a layout.  It's a technique I have a lot of fun with from an artistic point of view, but really, there is no denying that blending is a good way to hide imperfections in a less-than-technically-stellar photo, which, unfortunately, makes up a fair portion of my photographic stash.

Anyways...HERE is the link to the challenge.  I hope you'll join me!

That brings me to the other new item for today:  a brand new category of product that is available at The Digichick starting this month!  It's called The Hatchery, and it's a collection of coordinating products that will be available quarterly, with all the products on sale for 30% off the first month!  Check The Hatchery out HERE:

I used several pieces from the collection to create the layout I used for my challenge.  Here's a closer look at that page:
