Endings

Hi all!  Today is August 31st, and Labor Day is just around the corner, which means summer is coming to a close.  Also coming to a close is Wishing Wells Creations' time at The Digichick.  After 2-1/2 years, Laura is moving on, and through the end of today, most of her shop HERE is on sale.  I used pieces of her Everyday Life collection along with a brand new template set, Listmaker 2 by Cornelia Designs, for my latest Photo-a-Day layout:

As you can see, this is only half the month, and a pretty poor showing at that.  If you remember, the site I was using for photo prompts offered their last list in June, and I was *homeless* for July.  For August, a digiscrap pal directed me to the FatMumSlim Facebook page for a new list of prompts, and while the list is definitely appealing, the real life that I am trying to document was just a little too overwhelming.  I'm hoping for some renewed vigor in September!

We traveled to a family reunion in Ohio in August, where an aunt and uncle of my hubby celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.  I decided to scrap a photo of them for a sketch challenge:

The kit I used is Moments Captured by Sweet Digi Scraps, which I also showed you HERE.  That's it for today!  Come back soon, it will be a new month, and I know you'll want to see where Wishing Wells Creations lands!

Winding Down Summer

Hi all!  How is everyone?  I have had a super busy and stressful week, and I'm happy to be here playing on my little blog at last.  Let me show you how summer is winding down in my digiscrap world!

Ohana Designs has re-released her kit called Summer Ends:

If you purchase the kit before August 31st, you can get a coordinating alpha for free!  I used the alpha to update an older page I made with the kit.  The new version received a Gallery Stand Out mention at ScrapBook Bytes!

It's also back-to-school time, so take a look at what is hitting the shelves in Wishing Well Creations's guest shop at ScrapMatters! First, a little flowery fun, a collab with Mari Koegelenberg called Something Wonderful:

Here's where the back-to-school comes in...Grade School Cards, for printing out or scrapping with:

I combined the two for a template challenge at ScrapMatters:

Now, for some mix-and-match, here is a collection from Etc. by Danyale called Be Schooled:

You can buy the packs separately or in a cost-saving bundle!  I totally fell in love with the corkboard paper and used it to scrap a memento from my kids' grade school days:

That's it for today!  Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and come back and see me soon!

New This Week!

Hi all!  I'm back today to show you some layouts I did with some new releases at The Digichick this week.  First up, is this fun kit from Sweet Digi Scraps called Moments Captured:

I used the kit and a totally awesome add-on alpha to do this layout about a captured moment of my girls:

In a different vein is this awfully cute mini kit from Wishing Well Creations called French Country Table:

I knew just which photos I wanted to scrap with this yummy kit:

CT buddy Leah, who also designs under the name of Mommyish, created a coordinating mini kit that you can pick up in the Wishing Wells Creations shop HERE as part of a bundle with French Country Table!

Okay, that's it for today.  Have a good week, and come back and see me soon!

Build It!

Hi all!  Look at me, posting  2 days in a row!  I'm scrapping early this morning since my daughter and I have a major room cleaning project scheduled for this afternoon.  Wish me luck!

It's Grab-a-Byte time at ScrapBook Bytes, and Ohana Designs has this collection called Build It available in her shop HERE:

It was designed with busy boys in mind, and at first I had no idea what to scrap with this (no flowers or butterflies, you know), and then inspiration hit:

Each portion of the collection is on sale for $1 a piece until the 18th, so make sure you check it out, and then come back and see me soon!

Sizzlin' Sunday!

Hi all!  How was everyone's week?  I am so glad Sunday is here!  Work has been crazy busy lately and we were gone all day yesterday for a family reunion, so I am ready for some R & R!  But guess what?!  I still found time to scrap, lol!  Here's what I did when I should have been cleaning my kitchen:

I worked with a simply stunning new kit from geniaBeana Scraps called Something Wonderful:

I browsed through my Mom's photo albums and found this perfect photo to scrap:

Wishing Well Creations is enjoying a guest spot at ScrapMatters this month, and one of her releases there is this collaboration with Etc by Danyale called Carefree Spirit:

The kit also comes bundled with an add-on alpha and journal card pack for a cost-saving package that is also on sale through tonight!  You can check out the bundle HERE at ScrapMatters and HERE at The Digichick.  The gorgeous flowers and slightly vintage-y elements and papers sent me back to my Mom's albums yet once again where I found these adorable photos to scrap:

Alright, that's it for today!  ScrapMatters is having their annual Queen of Scrap competition, where a requirement is to scrap 25 layouts during the month of August.  I'm off to a very slow start, but I hope to pick up steam, so come back and see me soon!

It's a New Month!

Hi all!  Happy August!  How is the month treating you so far?  Aside from spending more time at work than I'd like, mine is good so far.  A new month, of course, means new goodies to show you, so grab a refreshing beverage and see what I've got for you today:

First up is Spice of Life, the August Digichicks Around the World collab by The Digichick Design Team:

I used the kit and a template from the collection to make this layout for a challenge at The Digichick:

As usual, you can get free add-ons to the collection!  Go to the Digichick shop HERE and the Digichick Facebook page HERE to scoop them up!

Next is this lovely, serene kit from Ohana Designs called Just Breathe:

If you check out the link you'll see that you can purchase a bundle that includes some masks and metal decorations, and you can pick up a free coordinating alpha by checking out the Alphabet Soup challenge in the forum!  The papers in this kit had the strongest attraction for me, so I did this layout showing one of them off:

I also worked with some other goodies just for the fun of it, participating in some challenges at ScrapMatters and Scrapbook Bytes.  Here is a layout I did quite a while ago for a template challenge, using Honey Bee Mini Kit by geniaBeana Scraps:

...and here is a layout I made more recently for a color challenge.  The kit is Balance by Seatrout Scraps:

Okay, that does it for today!  Enjoy your week, and come back and see me soon!
