New and on sale this weekend!

Hi all!  I've got lots of scrappy goodness to show you today.  These products are all on sale through the weekend, so make sure you check them out soon!

First, a sweet collab from Wishing Well Creations and Dawn by Design, inspired by my CT buddy's daughter, who declared that dandelions aren't weeds, they were Wish Flowers:

I took the kit theme literally and scrapped a page about dandelions, which I hate when they are in my lawn, but I love when I see a huge swath of them in a roadside greenway:

Also with a flowery theme is this lovely collection from Kimeric Kreations called Wildflower:

The flowers and colors reminded me of my wedding, and since my hubby and I just celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary last week,  I decided to commemorate that occasion:

I must have flowers in my head, since I also chose to scrap with this fun kit from Sugary Fancy Designs (guesting at ScrapMatters this month) called My Secret Garden:

It's not your typical garden kit palette, but I went traditional and scrapped a page about all the lovely flowers that I get to enjoy around my house in May.  My photography skills are limited but I do love to take pictures of my flowers!

Well, that's it for today.  I hope to have more to show you tomorrow, so come back and see me soon!

Fun in the Sun

Hi all!  We are heading into the Memorial Day weekend around here, and that means we are at the unofficial beginning of summer.  While that doesn't always translate into summery weather (especially here in Michigan), it does mean that scrapping warm weather photos is a lot more fun with all the seasonal goodies that are available!  Take a look at what I'm talking about:

River~Rose Designs has this gorgeous new beachy kit out called She Sells Seashells:

I was inspired to scrap some photos from a trip to Cancun several years ago:

You can grab this kit HERE at ScrapMatters, and it's on sale through Sunday night!

For her Guest Designer gig at Scrapbook Bytes, Ohana Designs is re-releasing this kit you may remember seeing last year, called Tropical:

Here's another peek at one of the pages I did last year, also of a trip to Mexico:

This kit is also on sale HERE, so go take a peek!  I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday weekend, and please come back to see me soon!

Manic Monday!

Hi all!  Did everyone have a good weekend?  I had to work but also took some time to play in my yard.  And scrap, of course!  ScrapMatters has a sale event that occurs on the third Monday of the month, and that day is today!  Everything in that sale category will be available for $1 each, TODAY ONLY!  I played with a cute kit from Wimpychompers Creations called Tub Time:

I had fun scrapping a couple of photos from when my oldest daughter was a baby:

You can grab this kit HERE, but hurry!  Then come back and see me soon!

Back in the 50's

Hi all!  I had some more fun this week taking a trip down Memory Lane and scrapping some older photos.  Well, not MY lane, but my family's.  Look at this fabulous vintage collab from Quirky Twerp, ENKay Design, and Charm Box Studios at The Digichick:

I immediately rushed to the 1950's section of my Mom's photo album, grabbed this oh-so-clever template from Kimeric Kreations:

And this is the result:

You can grab the collab HERE and the template HERE.   I'm kinda curious to see if my next scrapping endeavor stays in the past or makes it back to the 21st century!  Make sure you come back and see me soon to find out!

New from Ohana Designs

Hi all!  Did everyone get a chance to have a nice Mother's Day yesterday?  I hope so!  One daughter fed me yesterday and another is going to feed me tonight so I'm good!

I took some time to scrap with two new releases from Ohana Designs.  The first is a Memorial day-themed collection called Remembering.  Here's a look at the main kit:

I love the vintage look of the kit so I grabbed some photos from my Mom's albums and scrapped a page about some family members, who, although not serving in the US armed forces, lost their lives in war:

You can grab the kit HERE, and make sure to take a look at coordinating word art (some of which I used as well), flair, and paint splat packs while you're there!

New also this week is Ohana Designs' contribution to the monthly Grab-A-Byte collection at Scrapbook Bytes.  GAB offers a variety of products from designers throughout out the shop that coordinate with a different color palette each month.  Ohana Designs' collection is called In the Attic:

You can grab the collection HERE at Ohana Designs' shop, but hurry!  The bytes are only available on sale until May 19th, then will be reassembled into regular kits or bundles.

I used several of the portions to do this layout for a scraplift challenge at ScrapBook Bytes:

Well, that's it for tonight...I'll have more new stuff to show you this week, so come back and see me soon!

Just Breathe

Hi all!  How has your week been?  We have been having some stunning spring weather, so I've been trying to spend time outdoors getting my little yard spruced up.  I did find time to scrap this week, though, with a lovely bundle from Litabells Designs called Just Breathe:

This bundle was released as a Grab Bag for {inter}National Scrapbook Day, and opened up this week as a value bundle that you can grab HERE at ScrapMatters.  The components are available individually as well.   I loved the mix of pretty elegance and artsy grunge, and created this layout:

Here's wishing everyone a Happy Mother's Day this Sunday, and make sure you come back and see me soon!

iNSD Grab Bag by LDrag Designs!

Hi all!  I'm back!  I couldn't wait to show you what I just worked with from Lina of LDrag Designs at ScrapMatters!  She has put together a VERY tropical-themed grab bag just in time for {inter}National Scrapbook Day:

I knew just what I wanted to scrap with this collection:

The grab bag is available in the shop at ScrapMatters HERE, but it's only for a limited time, so hurry and grab it!  Check out the LDrag Designs blog HERE as well for a coordinating freebie!  Enjoy the rest of  your weekend, and then come back and see me soon!

Cinco de Mayo!

That's today!  Hi all!  Calendar-wise, this has been a fun weekend.  Yesterday was Star Wars Day (May the Fourth be with you), today is Cinco de Mayo (see George Takei's Facebook page for some awful puns), and I'm told that tomorrow might be the Revenge of The Sixth (another Star Wars reference).  More importantly for me, my baby DD graduated from Michigan State University yesterday, so I am one proud Mama!  More importantly for digiscrappers, yesterday was {inter}National Scrapbooking Day, and the fun continues throughout today, and in some cases, tomorrow.  I had the honor of playing with my first new release from Ohana Designs as she enters her month as a Guest Designer at Scrapbook Bytes:

I used the kit and coordinating alpha to create this layout capturing a moment from our trip to Mexico last year:

Right now the kit and alpha a part of an iNSD Grab Bag that you can get in the Ohana Designs shop HERE, so make sure you pick it up while it's on sale!  I'm working next with my first collection as a guest Creative Team member at ScrapMatters, so come back and see me soon!

Marvelous May!

Hi all!  Happy May!  If I had posted this yesterday I was going to title this post "Mayday! Mayday!", lol.  There is so much going on for me this month, both in real life and in my digiscrapping life, my head is spinning!  But in a good way.  So, let me tell you what's up:

If you are a scrapper, whether digital, paper, or hybrid, you probably know that this Saturday, May 4th, is (inter)National Scrapbooking Day.  So many of the scrapping forums and shops are hosting sales, games, chats, challenges, and general celebratory stuff, starting now and continuing through the weekend.  My digi home, The Digichick, is no exception.  Among other things, we are playing a game that has us changing our avatars to variations on a chick.  Here's mine, a gardening chick sporting a Michigan mitten:

Poor gal is a little blurry here because she's only 100 pixels wide...in the forums she looks just fine, lol!  Not related to iNSD but new for this month is my Desktop Challenge:

I love love love making a new desktop background each month.  It's like redecorating with the changing seasons, but on a much smaller scale.  Join me if you'd like!  Also new is the latest installment in the Digichicks Around the World series, a visit to France called Joie de Vivre:

I combined this kit with a template from the iNSD Grab Bag by Cornelia Designs:

...and scrapped this lovely layout of the newest addition to my extended family:

Little Ava is also featured in a layout I did using a new Add-On Bundle that Paper Garden Projects has released to coordinate with her Garden of Life collection I showed you a few posts back:

I was intrigued by a discussion we had about how the papers in the kit were inspired by vintage fabrics and decided to go with that feeling:

At last, I have two exciting things to tell you about now that it's May!  First of all, I am tickled pink to be a guest on the Creative Team at ScrapMatters this month!  SM is where Val of geniaBeana Scraps has her shop, and I'm so pleased I'm going to get a chance to work with the other designers and scrappers for the next few weeks!  Also, Michelle of Ohana Designs, half of the Partners in Crime Designs team that took a break at the beginning of the year, is a Guest Designer at Scrapbook Bytes this month!  There are some products already in her shop, but I'll be back in a couple of days to show you a fun new kit I got to play with!

Well, I'm glad to finally get all this out of my system!  I hope you'll come back and see what I make of all these new adventures this month!
