Flowers After the Rain

....or snow, if your spring is anything like Michigan's, which is pretty nonexistent so far.  Hi all!  Forgive my whining about the weather.  I want me some warm temps and flowers!  I decided to console myself by  scrapping with a spring-themed new release from Wishing Well Creations in collaboration with Nicole of Sugarplum Paperie:

As you can see, the collab is a bundle, but you can get each portion individually if you'd like.  Check it out HERE at The Digichick while it's 30% off!  I didn't have any rain- or puddle-photos to scrap, but I did have fun with this watery photo of my niece and her girlies:

I'll be back to see you soon, we have a new month just around the corner and that always brings new goodies!

New Goodies from The Digichick

Hi all!  Well, spring has sprung, according to the calendar at least.  You wouldn't know it by looking out the window here.  Brrr!

As usual, I got to play with some new goodies from designers at The Digichick this week.  Take a look!

Quirky Twerp has released a lovely, romantic kit called Missing You:

I immediately thought "heritage page!" and did this layout for a challenge at The Digichick:

With Easter just around the corner, I'm still having fun scrapping my older Easter photos.  Take a look at this bright, fun kit from Sarah Jones called A Very Happy Easter:

Here's my page, bright happy colors for bright happy smiles!

Alrighty then, that's it for today!  Come back and see me soon...I just finished my Photo-A-Day page for the first half of March and I just might get around to posting it!

Slainte!

Hi all! Happy St. Patrick's Day! I don't have a drop of Irish blood in me, but I love all things Celtic and just got done having the traditional dinner of corned beef and cabbage! I also treated myself to some scrap time, working with this month's Digichicks Around The World collab, called Slainte:

Sinead, the owner of The Digichick and a true blue Irish lass, tells us that "Slainte" is a term used when toasting to one's health. A very positive name for a kit, no doubt! The collection includes not only what you see in the preview, but a couple of page templates, some hybrid cutting files, and a photo action. You can grab it HERE. One of the word art files put me in mind of some photos from just a few years back, so I used the kit and a freebie template from this month's challenge at My Scrapbook Art to create this layout:

Here's hoping you had a chance to enjoy a little bit of St. Patrick's Day fun too! Don't forget to come back and see me soon!

Spring is Coming!

Hi all! We didn't have the worst winter these past few months, but I'm so glad that little hints of spring are showing themselves. Easter is early this year, we just switched over to Daylight Savings Time, we had a couple of days this past weekend where the temperature hit the upper 50's, and my digiscrap designers are releasing all sorts of fresh, lighthearted stuff!

When I saw this kit from Stellajane Design called Spring Promise, I knew right away that I wanted to scrap something Easter-ey:

I grabbed a new template from Cornelia Designs:

And the result is this sweet layout of a photo from many Easters ago:

I have so many Easter photos from the past to scrap, I wish I had more hours in the day!

Also new this week at The Digichick is a set of templates from Wishing Well Creations called Simple Triples:

Gee, what should I scrap with templates that have three photo spots? My three lovely daughters, of course! I decided to redo a REALLY BAD layout that I made when I first started digiscrapping and came up with one I like a lot better:

All these new products are on sale at The Digichick throughout the weekend, so stop by the store and check them out, and then come back and see me soon!

Photo-A-Day for February is Done!

Hi all!  I buckled down yesterday and finally finished my second February page for my Photo-A-Day  project, so now you can see both of this month's pages (For a little background on what this project is, see my post HERE):

The template for both layouts is one that was offered in February on the MyScrapbookArt blog for that month's template challenge.  It's really unique and had just the right number of photo slots for the photos I actually had.  As with January's pages, I used papers and elements from the Everyday Life 2013 collection by Wishing Well Creations, which I will be using for all of the layouts for this project, however long it lasts. By the way, the number of photos I took is down from January, and March isn't looking too hot just yet.  Uh oh!  This may be a short project.  We'll see!

New To You at The Digichick

Hi all! It's been a whole week since I posted last, and I bet you thought I'd be updating you on my Photo A Day project. Wrong! I haven't had much scrapping time lately, and I just can't get back to finish off February. But I will, don't worry! What I did take time to do was work with some products that released at The Digichick yesterday.

Cathrine of Paper Garden Projects designs products that lend themselves to hybrid projects...cards, little containers, gift items, etc.  She includes cutting files in her downloads that work with Silhouette or Cricut machines.  Since I rarely do hybrid work, I don't often use her products, but when I saw this kit I just fell in love:

I grabbed another new release this week, a set of templates by Cornelia Designs, who, by the way, is staying on at The Digichick as a permanent designer:

And this layout is the result, with lots of paper layers and not an emphasis on element clusters, which is somewhat of a departure in style for me:

Isn't it pretty? I think so! I hope you do too, and I hope you'll come back soon and check to see if I actually get that Photo A Day page up!
