Nature Girl

Hi all!  I haven't made much scrapping time for myself lately but I did take a minute to work with this newest kit from Partners in Crime Designs called Nature Girl:

I initially had it in mind to scrap some photos from some camping trips, but then I came across this darling photo on my niece's Facebook page:

The kit is one sale HERE through the weekend for 30% off!

You Make Me LOL!

Hi all!  I'm back again!  Scrappity Doo Dah has a wonderful challenge forum, and for the second half of July, Partners in Crime Designs is sponsoring the Bird Cage Challenge.  What the heck is that, you might ask?  Well, for the challenge, a designer provides you with a FREE mini kit that you use to make a layout to earn points.  The mini usually coordinates with a full-size kit that you can purchase at a deep discount to earn extra points for the challenge.  To that end, here is the free mini you can pick up HERE for the challenge:

And a look at the full collection, You Make Me LOL, on sale for 40% off through July 31!

This is such a fun collection, I did a fun LO with it:

If you'd like to check out the challenge (make sure to read all the rules!), stop by Scrappity Doo Dah HERE and take a look!  Hope you have fun!

Evening Walk

Hi all!  How is everyone?  HOT ENOUGH FOR YA?  (sorry, I just had to)  How about taking a look at this cool little number from Partners in Crime Designs:

The collection includes a full kit, alpha, word bits, glitter styles, and page stacks set, all in a cool, relaxing palette (including my very favorite color EVER).  Here's a layout I did with it, loving the way the colors worked with this photo from a recent family reunion:

You can pick up the collection HERE at Scrappity Doo Dah!

Wishing Well Creations is at Scrap n Art Magazine!

Hi all!  I have some exciting news to share!  For the month of July, Laura of Wishing Well Creations is a featured designer at Scrap n Art Magazine!  As part of her feature, she was asked to design a kit that could be downloaded for free by subscribers, and she came up with this little gem:

I had strongly hinted to her that I would love a beachy-type kit to scrap my vacation photos, and thought the kit looks good wrapped around this photo:

The kit is only available to subscribers of the magazine for now, but never fear...the kit will be available at the WWC shop at The Digichick sometime this fall, so stay tuned!

Kicking Back and Catching up

Happy 4th of July!  If you're like me, this holiday is a break from work that allows us to celebrate the birthday of the United States of America!  So, I thought it would be a good time to finally catch you all up on the layouts I've done over the last month or so that were just for fun instead of for Creative Team work.  Here goes, in no particular order:

I used some photos from my niece's Facebook page to make some layouts that I put into an album for a graduation gift for her.  This layout used the kit Dark Love by Partners in Crime Designs for a template challenge at Scrappity Doo Dah:

This next (stunning) photo told me right away how it wanted to be scrapped...I used a kit called Knick Knack for Me by A-liya Designs for a scraplift challenge at Scrappity Doo Dah:

And here we have a layout that I did for a mini-kit challenge at Scrappity Doo Dah, sponsored by Dana's Footprint:

A different niece's Facebook album provided the photos for the next two layouts.  This first layout was for a contest in Scrappity Doo Dah's birthday celebration that gave you a HUGE collaborative kit and asked you to create a layout using pieces from 18 of the designers who contributed to the collab!  The prize was a Wacom Bamboo tablet, which I unfortunately did not win, but I did get a great kit and layout from it!

This challenge gave you a fun word art to use in a layout:

I used the kit Fiddle Dee Dee, a favorite of mine by Mandy King.

Here is a layout of my husband's grandparents that I did with a mini kit from Alegna Designs:

And finally, here is a two-page layout that I just did this past weekend for a template challenge at The Digichick.  The photos are from our recent vacation to Mexico, and the kit is the Sugar Sands Christmas Beach Bundle from Etc. by Danyale, another one of my favorite kits:

For a closer look, here is the left side:

 ...and the right:

Okay, now I'm all caught up!  Yay!  I'm going to go enjoy my July 4th holiday, and I hope you do the same!  Come back soon!

Photo Op

Hi all!  Welcome to my first post of July!  Can you believe how fast the summer is flying by?  And don't get me started on the heat...nobody likes a whiner, lol!

In any case, a new month brings a new Mix-a-Kit palette to the shop at ScrapMatters, and Val of geniaBeana Scraps created a fun collection called Photo Op:

The collection includes an element pack, a patterned paper pack, a shabby solids paper pack, a set of messy splatters, and a coordinating alpha.  Each portion can be found in the shop at ScrapMatters HERE.

I went with the colors of the kit more than the theme to create this layout from last years' 4th of July holiday:

Speaking of the holiday, I hope everyone has a safe and fun day!  See you soon!
