Hocus Pocus

Hi all! Did you miss me? It seems like forever since I posted here. I haven't done much scrapping lately, I've been so busy! Autumn is yard cleanup time, the Detroit Tigers are in the American League Playoffs so I HAVE to watch the games on TV, and I was earning a little extra cash at my sister's yard sale.

With all that, I couldn't resist cutting a little time out of my schedule to scrap with this awesome new collection, a collab between Val of geniaBeana Scraps and CT buddy Melissa of Cluster Queen Creations. It's called Hocus Pocus:

Mixin' it Up

Hi again! It's time to get all caught up again on showing you my recent projects. I hope you'll stick with me until the end as it's taking forever to write this post. I have a cat sleeping on my left arm.

So, let's start at ScrapMatters. A recent trip to the Detroit Zoo gave me photos to scrap for some template challenges:

This one used An Elegant Mess and Dood!, both by geniaBeana Scraps.

This next page was done for a travel challenge that wanted you to scrap yourself on a trip. So many of us are so busy photographing and scrapping our family and friends, we never make it into our own layouts! This layout used In Spring by geniaBeana:



Here's a cute layout I made for a mini kit challenge at Brownie Scraps. Isn't the kit perfect for these photos?



These next two layouts did double duty, working in challenges at both ScrapMatters and Scrappity Doo Dah. For a template challenge at SDD and a recipe challenge at SM:


I used Shabby Fall by geniaBeana and Shades of Autumn by Designs by Sweet Mesquite.

And for a color challenge at SDD and a challenge at SM that asked you to feature water somewhere on your page, I used Captured Memories by Dylabel Designs:

Witch's Brew

Hi all! A new month is upon us, and you know what that means...the new Mix-A-Kit collection at ScrapMatters! Since Halloween is celebrated in October, the color palette the designers worked with lent itself to Halloween-themed goodies. Here's a look at some of what Val of geniaBeana Scraps came up with:


The papers, elements, and alpha can all be purchased separately. There's also shabby cardstock and dotted cardstock packs and two sets of layer styles...glossy and glittery. Check out Val's shop HERE to pick them all up!

Now, I didn't have any Halloween-type photos handy that I wanted to scrap, so I challenged myself to create a layout without any of the Halloween components. And Val's collection is versatile enough that I was able to pull it off! Take a look:
