Holiday Releases!

What better way to kick off the holiday season than with a couple of Christmas-themed kits? First up is a fun, colorful kit called Merry and Bright from genia Beana Scraps. You can pick up the value bundle HERE at ScrapMatters, or if you prefer, the kit, a torn paper pack, and a word bits pack can be purchased separately:

Also with a fun twist, but a little more traditional in colors is this sweet kit from Dylabel Designs called Jingle Birdies. It's available HERE at Elemental Scraps:

New Releases!

Things are revving up for the holidays and the next few weeks are going to be full of new releases from all the wonderful designers I get to work with. But that doesn't leave this week high and dry! I have not one, not two, but three new collections to show you!

First, genia Beana Scraps has re-released her kit ShamROCK. It's new in the shop HERE at ScrapMatters, where you can also pick up a coordinating cardstock pack and alpha:

New in the shop today at Brownie Scraps are these two kits:

Girlish Enthusiasm from Scraps by Mara:

and Romance in December from Ramona the Pest:

I discovered a certain fascination with using the color black working with these three kits, as you may have noticed. I promise the next few posts will be of more of a festive theme!

Six Weeks of P365!

Well, it certainly has been a while, and I'll bet you were all in despair of ever seeing another P365 page from me! I have just not been in the mood to work on these pages lately, but yesterday I got the notion into my head to get going and I scrapped and scrapped until I'm all caught up! I had several more lapses in photography these past few weeks so I have a couple of pages that are a little skimpy photo-wise, but it's not as bad as I thought (I thought I had skipped a lot more days than I had). So without further ado, here are weeks 41 through 46 of my Project 365!

Week 41:
(weeks 41 and 42 were created using Odds n Ends by Ohana Designs)

Week 42:

Week 43:
(weeks 43 and 44 were done with the kit Cloud Nine-by Day from Scraps by Mara)

Week 44:

Week 45:
(weeks 45 and 46 were made with the kit Shabby Fall by genia Beana Scraps)

Week 46:

46 weeks down, 6 weeks to go! Can you believe it!?

Frolic in the Flowers

Brand new in the shop at Brownie Scraps and 25% off for today only is the fun new kit from SnuggleBerry Pie Designs called Frolic in the Flowers. It's obviously created with little girls in mind but the cool colors are versatile enough for those boy pages too:

The colors in this kit were perfect for this photo of Jen from 1993:

All That Glitters and Hazy Shade of Winter

Even as we are firmly entrenched in autumn, enjoying the weather and holidays of November, we're all starting to look ahead to the winter to come. To that end, I have a couple of products to show you!

First, Scraps by Mara has released a collection of Christmas-themed mini kits called All That Glitters. Each mini can be purchased separately, right now for 25% off in Mara's shop HERE at Brownie Scraps:

I chose to work with the green and gold kits:

The mini's mix and match quite nicely for a wide variety of pages, so don't be afraid to try them all!

Also, Val of genia Beana Scraps has re-released a wintery kit from last year called Hazy Shade of Winter. She's added a cardstock pack and an cool metallic alpha, which you can pick up separately, or in a value bundle HERE at ScrapMatters:

I was inspired to re-do my old layout from last year as well:

Until next time!

Shabby Fall by genia Beana Scraps

As most of you know, this past Saturday was Digital Scrapbooking Day, and most of the forums had fun activities going on all weekend. I couldn't participate as much as I wanted since I had to work and I do have a life outside of scrapbooking (hard to believe but true). I did make time, though, to paticipate in a couple of scavenger hunts...I actually won some prizes over at My Life and Scrap (yay me!). And I won at Bingo over at ScrapMatters (yay me again!)! I also had time to participate in a a few layout challenges.

genia Beana Scraps put together an awesome Grab Bag for the weekend, with the centerpiece being this gorgeous kit called Shabby Fall:

Now that DSD is over, she has separated the Grab Bag into its individual parts...the kit, a coordinating cardstock pack, a template pack, journal bits, a set of scatters, and a new alpha. You can check them all out at Val's store HERE. Here's some pages I did using Shabby Fall, the coordinating cardstocks, and for the last one, one of Val's templates. I just love this kit:

(for an element challenge Val hosted at SM):

(for a template challenge at SM):

(for the Inspiration Point challenge at SM...we took our inspiration from quilt blocks...isn't that the best idea ever?):

(this one I did "just because"):

I've got news from Brownie Scraps to tell you, and I'm hoping to get caught up on my P365 pages this weekend, so make sure you check back soon!

Battle of the Creative Teams week 4! We need your vote!

Well, the final week of the Battle of the Creative Teams over at DigiscrapAddicts has ended, and our final team layouts are posted for voting. A lot of us on the team of Mara's Minions felt this was the easiest of the four challenges, but it wasn't without a few twists:

It's a TEN!
You must use 10, and ONLY 10 different products by your designer. When I say 'products' that would be an element pack/paper pack/full kit/alpha, whichever you choose. You can use any amount of items on your layout that you choose, but you can only use the 10 products that you have listed AND linked. You may not use any more than the 10 products you choose. At least two of the ten products must be used by all the members of the team. You all need to pick the same two products that will be the common factor between the 5 members of the team. Please list what products you will be using as a common product. You can definitely use anything you'd like as your common factor as long as it's listed.

You can use any number of papers, elements, alphas, etc., but they can only come from the 10 products you have chosen and have listed in your credits.

You must have *at least* TWO products in common with your team mates. You can have more if you so desire, but TWO is the minimum requirement.

In addition to this challenge, you must have a top 10 list of ANY type on your page. Your top ten list can be any topic you choose, but you must have the list in numerical format on your page (this means you must have the numbers 1-10 as well as the list). The journaling may be in any language.

Last but not least, you may NOT USE ANY PHOTOS OR FRAMES. This must be a photoless AND frameless layout.

So, here's the page I came up with, a list of the musical artists I listen to the most:

It was really amazing this time around the see what all the contestants came up with, so if you're so inclined, take a stroll through the gallery HERE, but then make sure you cast your vote HERE for Scraps by Mara!

I combined the two into this layout:

Everyday Bliss

Angie of Down This Road Designs has been creating a series of mini kits, one for each month of the year. They are perfect for P365 pages or for scrappers making calendars. I got to work with the latest installment, Everyday Bliss - November. Right now you can pick it up on sale HERE at Brownie Scraps:

Here's a layout I did for a lyrics challenge over at Brownie Scraps:

I'm going to have to use this again for my latest P365 pages myself!
